The music in TABA is played by various DJs both from the local community and the invited guest DJs. In the majority, they play the traditional tangos from the Golden Age.
In the TABA Tango milonga you can meet our regular DJs
It is a great pleasure to share the music, which I love to dance to. But it is also a craft. Each tango has its own unique personality. Each tanda has its own meaningful composition. The magic occurs when all is put together properly, at the right time and in the best sound quality. Then there are no other places, one could wish to be in.
I debuted as Tango DJ in 2005 at milonga “Na Chlodnej” – one of the oldest milongas in Warsaw. Shortly after I became a popular Tango DJ in the Warsaw tango scene. Since then I have been playing regularly in Warsaw and recently at milongas in Copenhagen.
My philosophy of being Tango DJ is to lead dancers through the music like through a story. There should be a place for energetic play, for drama, for romantic moments and occasionally for nice surprises. At the same time, the flow of the music should drive the change of the mood throughout the milonga.
My tandas are based on the well-known tangos coming in a vast majority from the Golden Decade. However, from time to time I like to include real gems recorded in other periods of the Golden Age.

A passionate tango dancer, Ralph Fehderau fell very quickly for the music. A passionate tango dancer, Ralph Fehderau fell very quickly for the music. It was during a longer stay in Argentina, however, that he really came to understand and appreciate its soul. In Buenos Aires, tango music hit him from every corner, whether he was taking a stroll through the many side streets, drinking a cup of coffee at one of the pavement cafes or sitting in one of the local Milongas tucked away in an alley. Here, live bands were keeping the dance floor busy in tiny locales where, after the last abrazo, the tinkle of coins could be heard from the passing around of the donations hat.Since then, Ralph Fehderau has been exploring the music and its history, gathering a noticeable collection in the process.
As a DJ, he is able to offer a large variety of styles, from the classical style, the Golden Days, tango Nuevo, to the more recent orchestras on the scene. He follows the unwritten rules of the tanda, and the unwritten moral code of the Argentinian tango. In 2014, he attended a DJ workshop under the guidance of the internationally known Argentinian DJ Marcelo Rojas.

Ralph Fehderau generally offers his DJ services for free, under the premise that he has no lodging or travel expenses, and that he, at any time, can decline an assignment without having to provide any explanation.
He is not a teacher, but can give beginners an introduction to tango.
